Wii at Trifles are in the spell of the Nintendo Wii!

The Wii has been launched two days ago in The Netherlands and wii got our hands on one of the few that arrived in the first batch. As you probably know the Wii has a wireless controller which can detect movement of your hand, so you can swing the remote as a tennis racket, golf club or baseball bat. Marieke never plays any computer games (except for clickomania) but soon she was swinging her ‘tennis racket’ like her life depended on it! The next morning I had to go on my bike to the shopping centre to try to buy a second remote controller so we can play together in a mixed double game to beat the computer! Big fun! Today we had a rest day because Marieke has muscle pain in her right shoulder ! Half the fun is making the Mii’s; little animated cartoon doppelgangers of our selfs which show up as the little guys or gals within the tennis game! We have named them Eddii (on the left), Riike (on the right), Riikje, Freddii, Joriis and Sophii !
