Pizza con Pere e Taleggio


Buonissimo! A very simple pizza with sweet pear and soft taleggio cheese, but o so delicious.

When in Italy it is almost impossible to eat bad food (although there are some tourist hotspot to steer clear from). When in doubt just take two left turns away from the main squares and you’ll be sure to find some place nice. A well known seal of approval in almost every country is the simple fact that the place is full of locals. In Italy, I dare say, there is an extra security factor in the form of priests and nuns. If you spot them in any restaurant, it is bound to be good. As was the case in the place near lake Como where we had wonderful pizza from the wood burning oven. At home we tried the combination with our own trusty pizza ‘oven’. Not bad, not bad at all!


This is our Alfredo pizza baker (brand Bestron). It’s a very good and cheap alternative for those of us that are still planning on building their own wood burning oven in the garden” and it really works… one day…
